The Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP) is the umbrella organization for the fastest-growing industry in the Philippines: information technology and business process outsourcing (IT-BPO). BPAP serves as the one-stop information and advocacy gateway for the country's key IT-BPO services sector and has over 240 company members, including 5 member associations. The member associations are the Contact Center Association of the Philippines, Philippine Software Industry Association, Medical Transcription Industry Association of the Philippines, Animation Council of the Philippines, and the Game Developers Association of the Philippines. BPAP is a private and nonprofit organization which also represents service providers and allied support industries.
BPAP's thrust is to promote the competitive advantages and the growth potential of the Philippines in existing and new areas of outsourcing and supports the industry in areas such as offshore marketing, education and training, security and privacy, legislation and public policy, among others. It aims to create a supportive environment for the Philippine IT-BPO industry and strengthen the Philippine case to be the preferred IT-BPO destination by the end of the decade.
